# Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026.

These Terms govern your use of the Kathe Kaara platform. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to them.

## 1. Definitions

"Platform" is the Kathe Kaara web application; "User" is anyone with an account; "Content" is anything a User creates.

## 2. About Kathe Kaara

A professional screenwriting and pre-production platform made for Kannadigas, by a Kannadiga, serving storytellers across Karnataka, India and the world with 12 modules.

## 3. Account Registration

Provide accurate information, keep your account secure, be at least 16, and keep one account per person.

## 4. Pricing

Kathe Kaara is currently completely free — every signed-in user has all 12 modules with no subscription, trial or payment. Users will be notified in advance if paid plans are ever introduced.

## 5. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

You keep full ownership of your Content. We receive only the limited licence needed to store and show it to you and your collaborators, and never use it to train AI models.

## 6. Modules & Feature Access

The Platform consists of 12 modules. All 12 modules are currently free and unlocked for every signed-in user — there are no plans, tiers or usage limits. Transliteration (68+ languages) and voice dictation are included free. If paid plans are ever introduced, we will notify all users in advance and update these Terms first.

## 7. Acceptable Use

No unlawful use, unauthorised access, abuse of infrastructure, malware, scraping, impersonation, infringement or account resale.

## 8. Collaboration & Sharing

You control who can access your projects and public share links.

## 9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

## 10. Data & Privacy

## 11. Account Termination

Delete your account anytime from Settings; data is removed within 30 days.

## 12. Limitation of Liability

Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

## 13. Indemnification

You indemnify Kathe Kaara for claims arising from your breach of these Terms.

## 14. Governing Law

Laws of India; courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.

## 15. Changes to These Terms

Material changes are announced on the Platform.
